The long awaited 1841 English and Welsh census are now on-line, I've tried some of my lot and can't find them!!! Will try again when I've had a sleep and sobered up although I didn't think I was that drunk. |

Same here Vera. Ive actually trawled every page of Wapping, and most of Stepney and no sign. Ive entered a first name and age and looked at every child called Edward on the whole index and definitely not there. |

I'm still missing about a dozen. Of course, it's the ones that I was really hoping to find who don't seem to be on there - like my elusive Charles Henry Richards, baptised in Battersea in 1829 then no sign of him until his marriage in Putney in 1854 (can't find him in 1851 either). Most of the ones that I have found haven't given me anything new, though it is good to tick them off as 'found'. I did find another set of gggg-grandparents though, who seem to have died by 1851. Was hoping to then find their baptisms - but both were born ''not in county'' - so that narrows it down to anywhere in the world except for Huntingdonshire!!! Grrr. Now that we have the full set 1841-1901, what next? It's a long wait until 2012 when we (might) finally get the 1911.... Richard |

Can't find one of mine either - only his wife and children. The transcription doesn't seem to be too great either. |
