hi i hope someone can give me some advice or point me in the right direction. my great grandma was jane ainscought born leigh c1857 and i have been given the details of her family on the 1861 census and they were on a vessel called 'david'. i think this may have been a barge or houseboat on the canal in leigh lancashire where they lived is there anywhere i could find out about this? also i have them in 1881 living in leigh lancshire and occupation is still boatman. so must have worked the canal. but i cant find them in 1871 see below in a mo. love linda x |

Linda I have searched the 1871 census with no luck, they were either on a barge somewhere or badly mistranscribed. Sorry. Georgina. |
