I'm having trouble tracking this rellie down, I'm hoping he is with Grandparents on the 1851c, but can't seem to put my finger on him at all. Anyone with better searching skills than me? Richard NEWTON, Newcastle Born 1840, Newcastle I have him in the 1841 - with parents age 10 months REF: HO107/848/02 Folio 8 Page 8. 1861 - with parents age 20 RG9/3814 Folio: 4 Page: 1 1871 - with parents age 33 RG10/5079 Folio: 58 Page: 35 regards Sylvia

Hi Suzanne Yes they are the right family. Mastle is actually Newcastle :-) Did they forget about poor young Richard in the 1851c?? Or did the emunerator not put him down I wonder?? There's just no trace of him Sylvia

Sorry! It's just annoying me to death as I know what happened to all the rest of his family. There are possiblities for him in the 1881 census Richard Newton, age in 1881: 46, estimated birth year: abt 1835, married, Gas fitter Henry Newton abt 1869, age 12 Ncastle, Northumberland, England Lodger Northumberland, (Richard's son?) Address: 212 14 & 16 Pilgrim St Shop & Lodging House and the 1891 census 34 Marion St Richard Newton abt 1841 Newcastle, Northumberland, England Boarder Gateshead Durham, Fitter's labourer William Newton abt 1877 Newcastle, Northumberland, England Boarder Gateshead Durham, Errand boy In both he is married, but no wife present...and 2 different sons?? Oh boy, it's doing my head in
