More and more local councils are offering facilities for people to order copy certificates online via their website. One such council is Salford City Council. See www.salford.gov.uk/historysearch for more information. |

Tameside have a similar facility, but the way it is set up makes it a little useless as the postal address doesn't allow any input other than the standard 'house number and street' format. If you live in flats of any discription it's impossible to use. |
