Have at last received a reply from the RAF - with a declaration for me to complete that my dad is deceased as is his wife and that I am next of kin. They ask for £30 for a search and do not guarantee finding records. (However, I noticed there is a reference with someones name at the top of the declaration which looks to me like they may have already found the records and just be waiting for the dosh - cross fingers) |
