Please can someone help me look for a remarriage of a G. Aunt of mine. She was born in England, then Married and widowed in Scotland during the first world war. It is so difficult trying to find her, as I have three names to search and no way of saying WIDOW! Someone out there must be smarter than I. It wouldn't be too difficult. :-0) Deanna X

She should have married under her surname at the time she was widowed, which means you should only have one name to check. nell

Yes Jess. She was Mary McMahon / McMann at birth in 1888. She was then married to a JOHN HUGHES killed in action 1914 AND.. I know she was then remarried to a (JOE / JOSEPH) NAISMITH) their children were born in Scotland ... obviously my dad's cousins, one of whom was bestman at my parents wedding! Still can't find them. Thanks anyway Jess. She must have been married to him after 1914.... given a few years of grieving , perhaps 1915/16? Then my dad was born in 1916... his cousin would have been a bit younger perhaps. My mum and dad were married in 1940. I've tried ANCESTRY.... 1837... Scotlands people..... ZILCH! I'll try again, and again...... Thanks Jess. Deanna X
