Hi, I'm trying to track down my half-sister, who may have possibly gone to either the US, Canada, NZ, Oz and would like to ask, does anyone know how I can find a register for such info? I've done googles, but there's so much confusing stuff? I was wondering if anyone has any experience/expertise? Thank you. Shirley-ann |

Hi Shirley Ann, I've just had the same trouble. You really need to know which country she went to approx what year and was she in any sort of childrens home. With this information you can start checking passenger lists. Dennis |

There are some websites that have NZ and Australian ships passenger lists but most need the name of the ship. Some you can guess by the dates they arrived. What years are you looking at? If you have a name and approximate year, you could try a search in the Trying To Find. You could always put her name up. You never know, someone may know her. |

Hi thanks Dennis and Elizabeth. Trouble is I have no idea what year or country she may have gone to. It was probably sometime in the 1950's??. I need to find someone I can write to in the hope that they are able to run a search, as I'm sure all the names of those who emigrated must be on computer by now? |

I am pretty sure the Salvation Army offers a tracing service. It would be well worth a phone call anyway. Victoria |
