Want to try and find a death record for a boy christened in 1826. He is not with his parents on the 41 census and I can't find any possibilities on BMD. Where else can I look except Guildhall? (who will charge an arm and a leg, because I also want to get christening records for him and his 5 sisters too)

You need to see if someone is visiting the London Metropotitan Archives,

Have you looked on www.familysearch.org? Not sure what you mean by bmd. The St Leonards Shoreditch registers are on IGI as follows: (Saint Leonards) C040801 1784-1798 M040801 1785-1808 C040802 1799-1810 M040803 1813-1834 C040803 1810-1819 M040806 1834-1851 C040804 1812-1824 1820-1821 1824-1825 M040811 1764-1785 ** C040805 1826-1830 -1830 C040806 1831-1836 C040807 1837-1845 C040808 1846-1853 1846-1857 1853-1857 C040809 1858-1875 C040811 1745-1783 ** you can put this batch no. in the search box on familysearch. nell

Nell I already have the information from familysearch - now I would like copies of the actual entries. Especially if there is a death entry for the son, as I have sight of the girls either in later census or death records after 1837 and I am unsure what happened to him. Brian I will check to see if anyone is going to the LMA. Thanks Margaret

Margaret Sorry, I misread your thread! Have you tried to find him on later censuses, or on Freebmd? He would be old enough in 1841 to have left home. nell
