im trying to find out which families were living on dawlish st in teignmouth devon arround 1880. but not sure how to go about it any advise pls? have found in 1881 no 25 was occupied by the downs family we thought the house was once a tavern called the severn stars

Tracey, If you go on to the Ancestry Web Site and select say 1881 census, don't put any details in for a name search but put dalwish street in the Street Address section and Devon in the county section. You should hopefully get a whole list of people in that street. Vanessa x

there are 250 odd people . what name do you need? no 21 is empty and isnt marked up as a pub

sorry on checking the number is 25 i know in 1881 the down family lived there
