Keith I looked, but there is no mention of Esther May in the whole list. Lindy's second post says she was looking at 1848 in particular, which is why I put those up. I also put the URL up just to give her a starting point. I hope it helps. T x |

Hello Theresa. The original query was for the 1840s not just for 1848. I am only an interested observer but you may be able to find Esther May on other years for Lindy Lou. Regards Keith |

Brown, Captain - partial list for passengers from Liverpool to Boston, arriving 3 April, 1848. This USGenWEb page also includes partials for the 'Vixen', 20 September, 1849. 'Progress' County Roscommon to New York via Liverpool, 25 April, 1848. 'Constitution' from Belfast to New York, 8 May, 1848. 'Sea Bird' Galway to Quebec, 15 June 1848. 'Agenora' from Liverpool to New York, 10 July, 1848. 'Nicholas Biddle' from Liverpool to New York, 7 September, 1848. 'Intrinsic' from Liverpool to New York, 6 November, 1848. |

Lindy, try this http://www.lr.org/services_overview/shipping_information/is038immigration_emigration.htm It might give you a starting point although it doesn't mention Esther May in particular. T x PS I Googled Immigration+Liverpool+USA+1848. There's more than one way to skin a cat LOL |

hi can anyone point me in the right direction. i am trying to find info on a ship called 'esther may ' it took immigrants to usa in the 1840's. its original port was ireland but sailed from liverpool. i have tried googling but no luck anyone know of any sites thanks linda x |
