Have spent the evening happily whizzing through 1841...

I have a Mary Mealing, nee Wells, who is with her husband John in 1841 and their children. I'd found them at the FRC ages ago. But I didn't know much about her parents - I knew from her baptism they were called William & Sarah Wells, but hadn't a clue where they came from and there were several possible couples. I looked for likely William & Sarahs on 1841 and bingo - found them with a woman called Mary Malen. Immediately my suspicions were aroused - the Mealings seem to be Maling, Mellin, Mealins etc in various records. And who is with them - the 3 children, same names and ages, as with Mary and John. So I am fairly certain I've found the right set of gt gt gt gtgrandparents AND that to make up for all the rellies I can't find, my gt gt gt grandmother has been entered twice!

Congratulations Nell. Isn't it wonderful when you find something like that. I was hoping to find some of g-g-grandfather's younger siblings at home with parents but it looks like their dad had died and they were in service. Heather :-(
