If you get no help elsewhere, Notts Family History Society will search parish records for all instances of a particular name from about 1600-1950. They charge £3.50 and usually email the results in about 24 hours. May be worth checking they cover the parish you need and then asking for a search for KIRK. Sam x |

anyone access to parish records for Greasley/Beggarlee Notts? Need a maiden name for Elizabeth (b c1780) wife of William Kirk (b c1787), who had children in that parish, John c1817 Joseph c 1820 Ann c1821 and William c1825. Williams father was James b c 1766 and his mum was Mary b c1766, not sure of her sirname. If i can confirm these I may have my tree back to 1630ish, but I need the sirnames to confirm the info I have been given. Thankyou Carol |
