Hi I am very new to family tree research can anyone suggest where I look for my family as I cant trace them on the 1881 Eng Wales and Scotland. They are on 1871 and 1891may be they were in prison? I would be really grateful for help. Thanks Carole

if you put their names down here perhaps me or some one else might find them they could be mistranscribed.put down what you have in 1871. reply to thread click on add reply Jeanette

Hi Carole, Maybe they've been mis-transcribed on the 1881 - eg they're there but their name has been spelt wrong. There's lots of reasons, trancription error being the main I think, also they could be abroad? I'll have a look for them but I'll obviously need some names, place of birth etc The more info the better really. Helen

Carole Post what you have found in 1871 and 1891 and the Rapid Response Team are sure to find them for you in 1881 - they have probably been madly mistranscribed! Olde Crone

Hi again, Thank you for responding to my message so quickly. Here is what I have so far. Family name SUTTER 1861 - John and family working/living at 17b Cases Street, Liverpool (Globe Inn) 1871 - John widower and lodging at 27 Talbot Street, Liverpool 1881 - Only sons George and Isaac show up. My Gt Gt Grandfather John (56yrs) and my Gt Grandfather Thomas (25yrs a house painter) are not listed. Maybe John has died will check. But where is Thomas. 1891 - Thomas is head of his own household at 18b Brickfield Street, Liverpool. Any help or tips you can give me would be great. Many thanks. Carole
