Send an e-mail to York central library giving the inquest date. I bet they can send you a photocopy for a small sum. nell

Hello all. (ever the optomist) Can anyone tell me which newspaper was around in York in 1880? My great great grandfather died after an accident while working and there was an inquest which went on from the 20th - 30th january 1880. I have tried to find out if the paperwork from the inquest is still around only to be told that the over zellous coroner distroyed a lot of paperwork. Any ideas before i try the local libray and trot through their archives? Vanessa
