I have a marriage cert where the grooms father is shown as (deceased) The brides fathers space just has a line drawn through it! I would have thought that if hers had died, she would have also put (deceased)? Any ideas? This was 1877. Gerri.

it could be that she did'nt know her dad,or he didn't know about the marriage. Do you recognise the name's of the witness as they might be able to help
