missing from 1901 census

My Grandad Henry Charles Crowe was born in 1883, i can find him on the 1891 census but not on 1901, he was a fisherman so he could have been at sea, so how do I find him? Please Help, Thanks, Meryl

Have you found other family members? If you've looked for him by first name and place of birth and surname and place of birth and can't find him, if he was at sea he won't be there! nell

Hi Anne He was born in Filby, Norfolk. 1891 census , he is aged 8 - scholar, living with parents William & Jane, siblings - William & May Meryl

If his boat was at sea on census night then he won't be on the census. Only RN ships were included even if they were not in port. Merry

Meryl Isn't it annoying i have an Eveline Thirlwall that i can't find on 1901 she was born 1896 Middlesbrough and she's not a fisherman so can anyone explain this one???
