My Nan had stillborn triplets in the 1950's, before my mother was born. We don't know if they were named or anything. My Mum's brothers, and sister can't remember it, as they were very young at the time. Is there anyway of finding out if they were named?

Stillborn children would not have been registered under the normal bmd route. There is a stillborn register, but you can't access it. There ae several threads on stillborn children.Type stillborn or stillbirth in the thread search. Glen

OK, I've looked at the GRO site, and it says that stillborn certificates can only be obtained by the parents or the siblings in the parents are dead. In my case they are. However, i'm not a sibling, i'd be a nephew. Do you think the GRO would let me obtain the certificates?
