That far back will probably be too distant to find exact locations, but you may find their local church. It's lovely to visit places, where ancestors lived. If you put ...IRISH,,,or ..IRELAND in the search boxes on these boards, you may get some more ideas. Enjoy your visit.

Hi, I have found that my G.G.G.Grandparents were from Doneraile, near Cork Ireland. I am going to Ireland at the end of the week and would love to see the town where they are from. Is there anything I should be doing while I am there with regards to helping my search? I would hate to get back and find out I should have done something! They moved from Ireland to England +- 1828 and then on to America. My GGGran stayed in England and married my GGGrandad. Any advice would be appreciated. All my research so far has been on the pc and this is going to be my first 'field trip'.
