Hi thanks for your replies My Gt Gran also had 15 babies but only 3 survived my aunt said she'd probaly 'done them in too' she also was given her brothers baby to look after whe the baby's mother died of TB but the baby soon died of severe Malnutrition I don't think my Gt gran was jailed as she locked my mum & my aunt in a cellar in 1952/3 Mandy |

IF the story you've heard is true, it would be reported in the local paper. Any suspicious death would be investigated by an inquest. The death cert would have the date of the inquest and also the coroner's name, as he would be the informant of the death. I believe that legally women who kill their babies before the baby is a year old can only be charged with manslaughter. nell |

Hi Mandy, If there was a court case it may have been reported in the local newspaper. If you get a death certificate for one of the twins you would have a date to narrow down the search. Heather |

Hi All can anyone help please when I began doing my tree I was asked by my Aunt if I knew about my Gt grandmother All she knew was that my Gt Gran had killed her twin grandchildren but didn't know their names or any dates as it was all hushed up & never spoken about. I have since found out the twins were b.1947 Liverpool N. & died 1947 Prescot. What I want to know is ,would any Inquests or court cases be held in Liverpool or Prescot thanks in advance Mandy |
