Apparently not. Looking on the Ancestry beta-indexed copy of the GRO index-images, the MMN is WALLIS. If you trawl that Ancestry dataset, you may find what you're after (you need to look for PITTS with MMN = WALLIS). It's free while it's stilll in beta (i.e. test) mode. Christine Sorry - had some other tasks and didn't spot the updates - so not WALLIS either. and it's not siblings you're after. go put my head in a box! |

Merry The name on the certificate is just Nora, so maybe the middle name you posted could be her, I'll investigate marriages and see if I can come up with her through there marrying the Lund! Thanks, and to everyone else Deb |

Christine, the parents marriage was 6.4.1915 married at the register office Leeds William Pitts 55 Mary Ellen Roundhill 47 Merry Have checked on ancestry and 1837 for the years 1930 - 1950, but I know theres someone who will undoubtedly look and find something straight away!! Cheers Deb |

There are these three deaths for ladies called Nora, with the correct birth date. These deaths are 1983-2001. I have a relative born Nora Pitts 18.4.1914 to Mary Ellen and William Pitts in Leeds. Been looking to see if there was a marriage or anything else for her without success. Would anyone care to have a look for me and see if they can pull anything out of the hat?? Very much appreciated Cheers Deb |
