I think it's Castle Chain. The address for Pontefract Castle is on Castle Chain. Found this on a website: THE ARMS OF THE HOUSE OF LANCASTER are built into the wall of the house which stands opposite the modern entrance to the castle grounds. This section of the right of way known as the Castle Chain was once the Barbican, a strongly fortified outer gateway to the castle. Joanne |

I can't read the info on record on the 1851 census. It's the record for William Henry Wroe born in Pontefract in 1837. I'm trying to read the address, the occupations of the family and the marital status of the head. Can anyone help? Thank you so much. |
