Hi again I used the free genopro for about 10 years without any major problems. The only irritation was it made you see adverts for the paid one every time you saved. It was only when my trees got huge and I was doing a lot of saving that I decided to spend the money on the paid version with extra features. It's easy to download and easy to use. Worth a try perhaps. Best wishes Sue

Elli I use PAF it prints out lots of things but does not do a cascading one like you have mentioned, what I did was download the free family tree one that a lot of people use and for 30 days you have a free trial you can do the cascading tree on that one you do not have yo give your card details just go to google and put in free family tree programme, I just put my tree on that and I did my lines in cascading form, but I may buy it in the future.....good luck You can still add information on to this free trial after 30 days but you can't do several things after ie a cascading tree ......

Sue - Help! I checked out the site - looks good, so I thought I would give it a try, only thing is it says I have to register for 30 day key Does that mean after 30 days I won't be able to use it unless I become a full member? How did you get away with using it for so long without buying it? Elly

I use Genopro for my trees. I used the free download version for many years and have only just updated to the full version. That prints out traditional trees and I like it. http://www(.)genopro(.)com/ (remove brackets) Best wishes Sue

Most family tree programmes will print a variety of trees. I use Family Tree Maker and when you select a descendant tree it will print with the eldest generation first - at tope of page - , cascading down one generation at a time - which I think is what you are after. I would have though most programmes would do the same. Are you using a family tree programme - if so which one?

Does anyone know of a programe to use to build a traditional style tree for printing - ie oldest at top, cascading down. All the ones we have now seem to go horizontal. Don't want to have to pay someone to do it, perfectly capable with the right tools......thanks, Elly
