Hi Sarah Was she a British Subject? She might be on the overseas section of the BMD index if she was. Otherwise try http://genealogy.about(.)com/od/localities/ (Remove brackets) which has links to South American info. Heather

http://tpino.netfirms.com/pino3.htm is a genealogy site which you may have seen. There is a list of surnames which dont really need you to have knowledge of Spanish but for the site in general language would be helpful. Failing that try googling Chile genealogy.

I,m trying to find out about my nan who was born in chile in south america. Where do l start to try and find certificates for birth. Hope someone can help sarahx
