could this be ernest gibson

just put in a normal search on ancestry and an ernest gibson come up born 1911 in aston the mothers surname is timmins but all his siblings have mothers maiden name as timmis,this is the nearest match i could find angie x

Angela, I'm not sure what your question is. If all the siblings have MMN = TIMMINS, and he's in the same family, then this record is consistent with the others. Christine

A powerful support for the mistranscription thesis is that I didn't even notice that the siblings' surname didn't have the extra N in it. If someone knows the name TIMMINS and not the name TIMMIS, they may not realise that they've misread the text - they'll see what they expect to see - as I did. Christine

many thanks for the reply i have had great difficulty in tracing the mother of ernest and his siblings on the marriage cert for my grandmother it looks like timmis and not timmins and it is mad how iv found all the other children with mothers maiden name with timmis except this one angie x
