Dotty If you are able to scan it and send it by email at a fairly high resolution please PM me It's fairly quick and easy to sort out and I can do it for you no problem - it's been part of my job for years to do this sort of thing - save you going to someone who'll charge you to do it Zoe

IT WOULD BE WORTH DOING AS PREVIOUSLY SUGGESTED, BUT I PERSONALLY WOULD INVEST IN USING A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPANY, MORE SO IF IT IS A CHERISHED PHOTO. THERE ARE MANY GOOD COMPANIES IN THE FAMILY HISTORY MAG. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT MAG, LET ME KNOW AS I WOULD BE PLEASED TO RECOMMEND A COUPLE OF GOOD CO'S. SHIRLEY-ANN

You can do two things, 1. Keep the photo in a DARK place it is usually light that causes fading. 2. Scan it and copy it. If your using XP you will almost certainly have a photo manipulation program called Paint - use this to adjust the shades of grey (40's/50's will almost certainly be Black & White) or 3. ask a friend whose into photo manipulation to copy and adjust it for you Walter
