I think the vol no for Newton Abbot was 5b until 1930. In 1930 all the Registration Districts changed and were renumbered I believe. Liz

Hi, I've just looked up the death ref for my GGF on Ancestry beta test- everything ties in (age area etc) but it's given as Frederick J Horwell 1953 Q3 NEWTON ABBOT Vol 7a p462 Every other ref I have for Newton Abbot gives the volume N° as 5b Could this have been a typo or should I expect the volume N° to be different sometimes? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Sarah :-)
