This couldn't be them could it? I now the birthplaces don't agree, but i looked for a marriage in 1872 as you said and the only spelling of the name i could find a marriage for in Sheffield was Bryars. >>>George Bryars abt 1842 Ferry, Lincolnshire, England Head Sculcoates Yorkshire Kate Bryars abt 1845 Hull, Yorkshire, England Wife Sculcoates Yorkshire Record Sarah J Bryars abt 1862 Hull, Yorkshire, England Daughter Sculcoates Yorkshire Frederick Wright abt 1850 Hull, Yorkshire, England Lodger Sculcoates Yorkshire Other than that I can't find them. Sorry. UPDATE - Scrub that entry. Just realised that was 1871 census, so they weren't married then. I'm not much help am I? Kath. x |

oh no they wouldn't have been actually, but they would have been in the 1881 definatly. they married in 1872 |

Just looked at your last post so I don't suppose this is them in 1881:- Catherine Bryers abt 1860 Gilling, Yorkshire, England Wife Guisbrough Yorkshire View Record George Bryers abt 1846 Guisbro, Yorkshire, England Head Guisbrough Yorkshire View Record Sarah Seaton abt 1848 Sunderland, Durham, England Visitor Guisbrough Yorkshire Kath. x |

Can anyone help me i'm looking for my x3 great grandparents on the 1871 & 1881 census I can't find them. His Name was George Bryars and he was married to Catherine. I've tried spelling the name different i've tried Bryers, Briars, Briers I just can't find them, they should be living in Yorkshire but i've also tried looking outside of Yorkshire can anyone help me? Dan. |
