Northamptonshire Regiment....am amazed again

I am amazed by the info you can find with a phone call and the helpfulness of people out there. I have found 3 relatives that were in the Northamptonshire Regiment so arranged to visit Abington Park Museum, Northampton. I met one of the docuementation assistants and was able to give him copies of my docuementation for the museum ie military records and certificates. We had a chat and he said he would forward some history to me and this morning I received 4 regimental photos with the name Ward on ( Albert Victor Ward was my grandfather and his brother George Frederick joined up albeit for 93 days) and a note to say according to the regimental war diary 16th January 1915, it was simply a quiet day, the day my other greatgrandfather was killed - Herbert William Bryant. I shall be doing a bit of reading today! Elaine |

It's a wonderful small museum, had a brilliant afternoon and had something to eat at the cafe!. It was raining that day but I am sure it is absolutely beautiful in summer Elaine |
