Yes. I'd agree with that. I've had an enormous amount of help from GR folks - and I try to pass that on to others - because helping back in return to those who've helped you isn't always possible. I've also had lots of fun, on occasion, helping other people solve their puzzles, or setting them on the way. Christine |

It seems years ago that I first read the boards and thought - what IS nudging? - can you ask for a look up for a baptism? - what does NBI stand for? and now I KNOW. But the great thing is that everytime I visit the GR site I learn something new. nell |

It is nice that you have taken the trouble to say that Joanne. We ALL started off that way and thankfully there are lots of people on here willing to help. It is even nicer when you get to the stage where you, in turn, can help others. I get so much pleasure from being able to point new people in the right direction - 12 months ago, I wouldn't have been able to do that. I just LOVE it on here!!! Dea x |

I started on her in July last year and posted asking for lookups as I hadn't yet joined Ancestry and was unsure at that time where to look. I have just gone back and viewed my threads from when I first started and have to say the posting I got back were really helpful and either pointed me in the right direction or did the lookups for me. I just thought it was time to say - thankyou for been patient with a newbie last summer! Now I try to help others as best I can. Joanne |
