Can Anyone Help Me Track My Jewish Line?

hey all ive just started to track down my dads side of the family. i found his birth cert and it says that his dad was Barnett Solomons and mum was Elizabeth Jacobs. At first i thought i couldn't carry out much research here because i had no idea when either was born, but i then found out Barnetts death, age (45) therefore his yr of birth. Anyway i have found him on the 1891 census with his parents milly and mark, the thing is that by 1901, the whole family has dispersed! how do i know who goes where and when? iam quite confused (probably dont help its the end of the day lol) and would appriciate any help with Barnett or Elizabeth. Thanks guys

Liz Sadly Barnet(t), Solomons, Elizabeth and Jacobs are very common names in Jewish ancestry. You could try this site: www.jewishgen.org/ you have to register to use it, but its free and has a lot of useful information. Or post the info from the last census on which you have this couple and we can have a look for you. nell

Do you mean you can't see them in the 1901 census Have you tried searching in the census for them individually? Zoe

well i don't have them on a census because they married after the 1901 one. The info i have on Barnett is from the 1891 census RG12/274 folio 126 page 3

yes thats them. In the 1901 census it states that Milly solomons is now a daughter in the house. could this be her parental home she has returned to live in? if so where are the children?

It could be as she is a widow but you need to get one of their childrens birth certs to clarify her maiden name Zoe
