Is it really possible for a marriage to have been accidentally omitted from the records? I've lost one, or I'm blind! Bev x |

It's possible for any record not to have made the jump from local ROs to the GRO index. It was a manual process, so fallible. Have you tried the local RO? Or, perhaps, they didn't actually marry? Or married much later than you thought? Neither of those is unknown! Christine |

Thought you'd never ask, lol!!!! Thank you Jess! I have a Minnie Randall, born 1898, who married a Chandler in Surrey, probably Kingston upon Thames. First child born 1922. I have looked through Ancestry bmds for (what felt like) decades either side, and more than once, but can't find the marriage. I know there was a marriage because I have seen the photo! Undated, sadly. Bev x |

Hi Bev, are you positive Joan in 1922 was the first child? Sam |

As positive as I can be, their first child was called Joan! Bev x |

Could this be a possible? Joseph Chandler to Edith Randall Birmingham 6d 710. 4th quarter 1921. A long way from Kingston and not a Minnie I know. Susan |

Jess, I did wonder if Minnie was her real name, but found her birth registered as 'Minnie'. Bev x |

Susan I kept looking at that one, and though the time is spot on, the place is way out and Edith?? I'm sure her name is Minnie, or at least I found a Minnie Randall on bmds born in exactly the right place at the right time! Bev x |
