1841 census - read on

Hi everyone Yesterday I bought the May issue of Your Family Tree. On page 10 the headlines read '1841 is here'. ' The wait is over as Ancestry finally makes the British 1841 Census available to users' It goes on to say that as this magazine goes to press Ancestry is making plans to 'make the census availabel for late April'. So it looks like the long wait is nearly over. I am going to New Zealand on the 24th but I dont suppose the holiday insurance will allow me to cancel so I can be waiting with bated breath for ITs arrival. Well never mind I retired last Thursday so I will have plenty of time when I return from foriegn climes. Take care and happy hunting. best wishes Margaret x

Hi Margaret, Thanks for the news. strange that Ancestry hasn't announced it though. Maybe they're going to send us a mail when it's actually ON line. They're gonna be busy!!!!! Thanks Margaret...... had a mail from Ancestry saying the 1841 would be on line soon. Wonder if, as some other GR member said last week, they will release it on 29/4... the date of the SoG Family History Fair in London. Have a great holiday and a long and happy retirement. I really don't know how I had time to go to work... my life is so busy since I retired. lol Jean x.
