Just had a newsletter from Ancestry - it says the complete England and Wales census 1841 -1901 will ONLY be available on Ancestry(.)com. Feeling slightly worried now .........................! Bev x

Origins and Genes wouldn't give up without a struggle. Surely Ancestry simply mean that they are the only internet site that offer all the censuses. (Though I bet they don't mind suggesting that you can't get access anywhere else.)

It is just to say that ancestry will be the only web site that has got all available census's 1841 to 1901 online, nothing to worry about, they just want more people to subscribe so thay are being clever with the way they have worded it? Roy

When are they bringing online the 1841 census, as I seem to hear a different date each week.? If you ring Ancestry to confirm, their staff don't know either!

The complete census England & Wales 1851-1901 is only available on ancestry. They will have a complete set when they add 1841 - hopefully before my subscription runs out!!! It doesn't mean that other sites which offer other censuses won't continue to offer them, just that they haven't got the complete set. nell

Aha! Missed the small print! Well if it isn't on Ancestry uk they are going to miss out on a lot of potential subscribers. nell
