It took me ages to realise I'd actually found my aunt daisy on a census: she was actually Catherine, like her mother. Yours could be the same, or Daisy could be her second christian name. NB it can also be short for Margaret.

hi reggie, well thats put paid to that idea then. denise, I only know my nan as daisy, on both marriage certificates she is called daisy. oh well, back to putting thinking cap back on then. jean

Hi , Dont discount your nan having another name as I searched for weeks for my nan (molly) and found her real name was Mary Alice.I knew her for 40 years and never knew her name.(neither did any other living family member) Good luck with your search. Denise.

Birthplaces weren't put on death certs till some time in the 1960's. Reg

hi louise, the william h dempster from brentford will be the right one, at least now I will be able to find out where he comes from, they do put where born on death certificates dont they. as for daisy, no dont think she had any other name. she was my nan on fathers side, never knew him, but heard talk of daisy. thanks for all help. jean

Isleworth and Brentford are almost next door to each other. Sylvia.(I live in W.London and know area well.)

Just because they lived in Isleworth you cannot assume that they died there. Could have been working away, or on Holiday. Sometimes we need to think outside the box.

need another pair of eyes to find 2 deaths, have looked on ancestry but no joy. I am looking for, daisy dempster died approx 1967 - 1971 in isleworth middx. also looking for william herbert dempster died approx 1940 - 1949, in isleworth, middx, any help appreciated. thanks jean
