Hi Paul, I think I would be trying to find out who was living at 10 Mount Pleasant, Bedminster in 1851 and at 56 Nursery, Bedminster in 1861 etc!! There would have to be a family connection. And what does he give as his occupation? Victoria |

Scrolling through 1891 images, it is a Street/Road of some sort. Isn't there something similar in London? 'Poultry', if memory serves me correctly......... Reg |

The Historical Directories website www.historicaldirectories.org has some Bristol directories (look under Gloucestershire) though I'm not certain if they include Bedminster. Unfortunately that site is taking forever to load at the moment, but if you try it tomorrow perhaps? Anyway, then if you look for the addresses in the Bristol directories maybe it will help. Kate. |

Hi All Just found a family who seem to jump between 2 different addresses throughout the Census. James Smith (b. Bedminster c1827) & Hester Smith (also b. Bedminster c1827) 1851 Census: Living at '56 Nursery, Bedminster' 1861 Census: Living at '10 Mount Pleasant, Bedminster' 1871 Census: Living at 'Nursery, Bedminster' 1881 Census: Living at '10 Mount Pleasant, Bedminster' 1891 Census: Living at '56 Nursery, Bedminster' 1901 Census: Living with sons - again in 'The Nursery' What was the Nursery, some sort of Workhouse, from the images it looks like a street address. I've tried 'googling' but all I get is Schools in Bristol :) Any thoughts anyone ? Paul |
