John,using trade/street directories and the electoral register you can trace people forward quite easily. Its easier if you are looking for people local to where you are as record offices/archives only usually have directories/electoral roll for their area,and it helps if they had good trades/their own business,but the street directory part helps if they don't. |

Thanks for the offer Suzy. I have lots of first names but its difficult to link them to parents (there were 13 parents). I'm working with two of my 2nd cousins to fill in the blanks but was hoping there would be a quicker way. |

The 1911 census should be released on 1st Jan 2012, but the rumour is, don't hold your breath!!! Or actually, maybe, DO hold your breath, as it's supposed to be in very bad condition (damp and mouldy??) Merry |

Any one know if access to this data is available? I have all my family from 1901 but I'm trying to work forward and complete the extended family before heading backwards in time. |
