I am trying to find the marriage of my gg aunt, but am really struggling. Her name was Queenie Marie Cox, born 1911 in Reading. Her first child was born 1930, so I guessing she should have been married around then, but cant see it for looking! Her married name was Dollery. Marriage would have been in Reading.

Karen Not an answer to your question but did you know that there is a One Name Study of the DOLLERY surname. Details of how to contact the researcher are on the Guild of One Name Studies site. Click on ..Registered Names... and search for what you want.

Thank guys, that is her second marriage and death. I cant believe she remarried in her 70s! Good girl! I have looked at the records I can access from 1928-1930, but cant seem to find the marriage. I would have thought she would have married before 16 or so. At first I though I was being blind, but cant see it. surely she should have married, its not done thing back then to not marry, is it?

I have just had a look on ancestry, the page for 1929 dec quarter shows the last name on that quarter is, Leslie J Cox, so there must be a page missing, I would checked 1837 online to see if they have it. page for Dollery is also missing Roy

Sorry, forgot to say, will give the one name study a look into, cheers. Dont know her first husbands christian name at the mo. My nan, who is about to turn 70, only remembers them visiting once when she was a little girl, and her memory for names of people she does know can be a little sketchy sometimes! LOL!!
