I've found one of my ancestors on the National Burial Index. He was buried on 11th July 1837, so very excitedly I went and had a look at BMD on Ancestry and there he was. Just think if he'd died 2 weeks earlier I wouldn't have found him! The despatch date for the certificate is 5th May :o) Helen

Good timing! Now if only my 2 x great grandparents had postponed their April 1837 wedding, until later that year,I might now know the name of the groom's father. Gwyn

Hello Linda, I found it on the familyhistoryonline(.)net site. It told me when my ancestor was buried, how old he was and where he was buried. I don't think they have the whole index, though. My ancestor was from Suffolk and the information was supplied by the Suffolk Family History Society. Helen
