Elaine Thanks for that - where did you find it??? I must have been skenning!! I am soooo thick!! Of course she was married - no wonder I couldn't find her. I was still obsessing with Fenton!! Oh how thick am I? I tell ya, this genealogy stuff sends you stupid!! Irene The Clepthora you found was probably my Gran, although I thought I had found that in the Dec qtr of 1924 as she was born in November - but I could have been skenning then too!! Thank you very much ladies. I am now off to look for her death under her married name! What do you reckon? About 2 minutes?? Grrrrr. I'm soooo mad at myself!!!

Did you see CLEPTHORA FENTON born to Knowles in Lanc.Dec 1925. Do you think she used the name Catherine because she did not like this unusual name. Regards Irene

Can´t see her death registration in 1972 - was she Fenton when she died or did she marry ?

I am looking for a Catherine Mary Fenton. She was born 15 April either 1926 or 1927 according to my Gran (her sister), but I can't find her and have looked from 1925 - 1928. Also Catherine's death. She died in 1972, possibly in January - again, can't find a thing. She lived in Darwen / Blackburn Lancashire all her life. Her mother's maiden name was Knowles. I spent all day yesterday looking for her without success. Would be grateful for another pair of eyes pls.
