Hi I know this is the perennial moan but WHY do people register their names on here if they will not reply to emails, I am so ------ infuriated as I sent out 14 emails from my last hot matches list and got one reply, this time I have sent out 9 and not got one. I very politely explain that the above name has come up on my hot matches and give a couple of more details of the particular person ie name, date of bith and either their parents/spouses name and I always thank them for sparing the time for me. So why don't they reply, or is it that anything to do with hot matches is automatically ignored. Now I have that off my chest Thanks for your time Half Pint

HOT Matches are all very well but they do not tie up the place of birth only a name and date. I too though am waiting for replys.

if this site is anything like my local studies library, we have had hundreds of people come in and start there tree, only to find its hard work and very expensive and you never see them again and like my 2 sisters they came on here and added there names a few years ago in fleeting curiosty and have probably never looked at the site again and they have no real interest in family research at all

Yes I have to agree with both of you. I get very annoyed having to look up towns or villages on the net to find out what area they are in, only to find they are at the opposite end of the country to my family. Why cant people put which County - it would make it so much easier. Of course this wouldn't help anyway if they don't answer the emails!

Hi Thanks for your replies and thoughts. I can understand some peoples impatience with it. My husband is on my tree as being born in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. Last night I got hot matches for him being born in Australia, Ireland, Durham and several other places. And no I didn't send them an email. Oh well I will have to find out more info about my rellies on my own. Take care Half Pint
