If I wanted to write to Canada to gain information on my great grandfather who died around 1963, who would I write to? I know he was born Edgar John BARNES 07/06/1881 in Warwickshire. He moved to Canada, beleived Toronto about 1912. He re married in Canada, and is beleived to have died around 1963 leaving behind a wife and possibly children. Im desperate to continue my search on information on him to help answer all the unanswered questions. Many thanks Elizabeth

Christine Dont think this can be my Edgar, he left for Canada in 1912 so I dont think the years fit, Thanks for looking tho

Hey Elizabeth Think your guy might have been in the canadian army in the first world war. Go to http://www*collectionscanada*ca/archivianet/02010602_e.html (replace the *) And type in his name, says the guy was born in 1882 but it looks like your man, click on button bit and you'll get to see his assertion papers.
