Family Tree Maker Question

Thanks everyone for replies. Had to go to Heathrow. Roy - my point is that prior to civil registration I have very few birth or death dates; only baptisms & burials. That's why I like PAF 5: it automatically adds an asterisk to denote baptisms & burials so you can see at a glance without going into notes. I tried adding the asterisk myself on FTM but It wouldn't allow it. Think I'll stick to PAF 5. Thanks again to all who responded.

Roy - yes I know you can enter it in the ADD FACT section - but I presumed Glen wanted to put it on the family page in place of, or in addition to, the date of birth.

Correction to my post above on the FTM 2005, you can select Baptism, just go to add fact and select baptism, plus enter the correct date, and location. Roy

My FTM lets me put 'bef.' (for before) and then the date of the baptisim. Hope this helps. Regards June

Elaine, in the EDIT ADD fact, under (general) you can put the actual date and a discription i.e baptism. version 2005 Roy

Thanks Elaine. So what does every one do - just record the year?

Elaine

I don´t think it is . You can of course add the baptism under the EDIT - ADD FACT section but as far as I am aware you cannot enter it under the date of birth box.

Is it possible to enter baptism dates instead of birth dates? Thanks
