Hi You can get the deluxe version of Who do you think you are with FTM 2005 on www*play*com for £17.99. This come with extra discs and a manual in book form rather than the readable .pdf version. Got it a couple of weeks ago. Anne

Heather ...had a look at the my-history website...first time I've been on that one...quite useful (although loads of question marks re the Rootsmagic software. Do you use FTM? Chris

I have Family tree maker 2005 and it's great and so easy to use!! But there is another version 2006 out I would think that this is as easy to use.

If you go to my-history website there is a comparison chart there. I have the standard FTM2006 - google for cheapest price - I think someone said that its only a tenner on TWR? Check it has the full program though - dont get the starter one.

Morning all I spent hours yesterday on my computer adding some new info on my Rootsmagic database. Ended up nearly throwing said computer through window!!! It has a facility for merging duplicate records. The problem being that you end up with someone married 2 or 3 times. So you go into the record and delete erroneous entries of events. You then find that you have lost half your database. Luckily it can be restored if it has been backed up...which I had done. But there must be a better way!! Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing half the time. Thought I might consider buying new software as have heard you experts extolling praise of Family Tree Maker. Which one is best version and any other snippets of info gratefully received. Chris
