Hiya, Well that's unexpected as they're not on my list of possibles - but then that's how this all works isn't it ! Thanks very much for trying, I'm sure they are related I just don't know how yet. :-) Heidi |

Hi Heidi, Well that took less time than I thought it would! There were about 450 pages for Alverstoke, some were blank and so omitted, some were very feint and poorly written but I have copied all that I could read. Unfortunatley, I didn't find any George Pannell/Pennell but I did find some others which I have listed below for you. 1841 Census for Alverstoke. I have either put Yes or No for 'if they were born in the County of Hampshire'. This family are down as Pennell. I suppose they could be Pannell’s? Bury or Burg Road. Henry Pennell, 40, ind, no. Mary, 30, no. Caroline, 15, no. Edward, 12, no. Mary, 11, no. Charles, 8, no. Arthur, 7, yes. Emma, 5, yes. William, 1, yes. HO107/388/3 folio 20. Stoke Road. Robert Pennell, 50, ind, no. HO107/388/3 folio 24. Lower Bedenham Farm. John Pannell, 50, farmer, no. Jane, 35, yes. HO107/388/5 folio 6. That's it I'm afraid. I'm sorry I couldn't help you any further. Best Wishes, Julie |

Hi Heidi, I've got the 1841 census for Hampshire on CD Rom. If you bear with me I'll have a look for you. There is no name index so it will be a case of going through each page individually until I find him. Will get back as to you later. Julie |

My main target is George Pannell aged about 4 in 1841 in Alverstoke which is in Gosport in Hampshire. Alternatively, all Pannell's in the Alverstoke/Gosport area census as it seems they're all related anyway ! Many thanks |
