I am having trouble downloading things. First I am about to start transcribing for FreeBMD's and have been sent my first files as JPEGs, they start to download then just disappear. I also tried to update my browser programme, (I use CrazyBrowser as IE too unstable for my liking) with the latest version, same thing again, 99% done then stops and disappears. These files have definitely NOT been downloaded, I have searched for them. I've scanned with every program I have, and I admit I found and deleted some spyware (grrrrrrrr), cleaned disk, virus scanned, defragged re-started. All is apparently ok with the PC, working normally, but I still can't download anything. I'm using XP HOme edition. Is there anything Imay have switched on or off to stop me downloading any files? If so, where would it be? Hope someone can help me. T x |

Bev, I did all that thanks. Got it sorted now, it turns out that there is a glitch in my spyware protection, and it wsn't letting me download anything at all, no matter what I did to the settings, so I removed it altogether. Now I can open a simple JPEG file yayyyyyyy! Thanks for replying though T x |
