sorry that didn't come out right. I should have said the American rather than the UK site. (put in the dot com etc. and it didn't come up!)

Hi - I had some similar problems. Just couldn't find the free BMD on there sometimes, but KNEW I had used it before. Then I realised that I had been using the .com site rather than the .co.uk one. They seem to vary and have access to different links!

I've never quite worked out what triggers what database-links when I go into Ancestry. Sometimes it's quite easy to find what I'm after and at other times.... (better not type that!). Christine

Hi all, are my eyes deceiving me or have they removed the GRO INDEX from Ancestry? i can only find the inded for 198 to 2004, not the earlier ones. TED.
