I wouldn't give up on Norton especially if you've paid for it. When we upgraded to AOL Broadband we tried using their free Mcafee firewall and paid for their anti virus and couldn't get on with it. We then upgraded to XP with it own firewall and reinstalled Norton which we had used on narrowband previously and it's all worked fine. Have you got Aol's Mcafee still running - this might be the problem. Also a few weeks ago we couldn't sign on. I had to ring my brother to look at the AOL web site for me where there was advice. Norton had updated so that when you tried to sign on to AOL it saw it as a worm and blocked it! We had to change the settings and has worked OK since. Why don't you contact AOL through live help I've always found them to be helpful. Don't ring as their rates are expensive. Hope this helps. Rachel PS I'm sending you a personal message aswell just in case you don't look a the board |
