I always put parents and siblings if I have that information. Sometimes if you lose someone on a census, you can find they are staying with an in-law, or you find that a couple of family members marry into the same family. I have a Smoothy family. Gt gt aunt Emily married a John William Evans. Emily's sister Eliz. Louisa's daughter Alice married a Frank Evans. I didn't take much notice as Evans is a common surname (I also married an Evans!). But I found through my research that Emily's husband lived next door to Emily & Eliz. Louisa's brother JDR. That's presumably how Emily met him. I looked him up on the census - still next to JDR and found he had a son called Frank. Sure enough, its the future husband of Alice. You never know where your next link comes from. Also, children of the marriage may be named after a sibling of the person who married into your family, etc. nell

When you add someone who marries into your line how much info do you add about this person ... eg do you put siblings parents etc or leave it at just the individual
