I am interested in records for my grandmother's sister Sophia Blacker born Midsummer Norton 1886 married to Edward Foy. I know he was a conductor on the London buses and they left for Australia after the general strike of 1926. |

All passenger lists are easily accessible at Kew. But they are organised according to port of departure and then monthly/quarterly. In each box you then get all the ships leaving during that period from that port and it is easy to see where they were going but some of course make a number of stops. They are very easy to find IF you have the port of departure and the rough year. They , in my experience, simply have the names, ages, intended destination ( many passengers disembark at any number of ports on the way), occupation and last address in UK. Jan |

Thankyou very much Kerri. That is the right reference for Sophia. Robert and Ann were my great grandparents. I will watch neighbours with more interest now! I have a birthdate of 1885 for Edward so the first reference fits. I know they had a daughter Muriel who settled near Perth because of the better weather, |
