Ive just read an e-mail i recieved from 1837 on line regarding an offer of unlimited access to BMDs, the cost is a one off payment of £50 for a years subscription. Mmmm i thought, it's a pity it was'nt on offer last year when i used the site often, i scrolled down the page and to my shock it read 'As you have already spent £295 with us todate' you will save money instantly........GOOD GRIEF i had no idea i had spent so much money looking at images.......It's certainly an EXPENSIVE lark this hobby!............

I quite agree Valerie; when I got my email mentioning a figure of £141 I thought thank God I don't share an email address with my other half!! I just dread to think how much I have spent on certs if I've spent that much on looking up references!! Kate.

Mine said that I've spent 50 quid...... who's been a good girl then?!!! na na ne na na lol BUT! I'm special and selected cos>>>>> This exclusive offer has been sent only to selected customers, is available only for the next ten days, will expire on Monday 17 April, and is personal to you. Yeah! right!....

well I'm obviously not special enough, cos they've not sent ME any special offers! I've only spent £10 with them so far, cheapskate me (and lucky enough to have a lot of rellies living in areas where they have already got their BMD on line) .... mind you, I've been giving Ancestry Beta some hammer recently filling in some gaps. tongue in cheek - remember last time they were doing these super-duper offers? wasn't it around the time Ancestry put the 1851 census on?
